Description

The GPCS 040 Safety Shut-Off Valve is a compact, pilot-controlled 2/2 normally closed valve designed for reliable hydrogen control in medium-pressure applications, particularly in mobile fuel cell systems. Built to operate with hydrogen, nitrogen, air, or hydrogen/nitrogen mixtures, it offers a nominal working pressure of 16 bar and can handle input pressures up to 21 bar, with a burst pressure exceeding 65 bar. Its seal seat is optimised for low-temperature conditions, and a two-stage opening system prevents pressure surges. Featuring integrated filtration, robust construction, and IP6K9K protection when correctly installed, the GPCS 040 ensures durability and consistent performance even in harsh environments. Electrical connection as standard is via a TE MCP 2.8 mm plug, and PWM voltage control with holding current reduction enhances efficiency. This valve meets EC79 testing standards and offers both central fastening and flange mounting options, making it a dependable solution for hydrogen safety shut-off in demanding energy and industrial applications.
