We have expanded our specialist design engineering base by welcoming Lewis Sheldrake to our development team. This is Lewis’s first professional design role in industry; he takes the newly-created post of Junior Design Engineer directly from his degree course at Brunel University.

This appointment is part of a stated philosophy of recruiting new talent to our ranks in order to extend the capability and capacity of our in-house electromechanical design service. Lewis joins us having completed his B.Eng. course in Mechanical Engineering with Automotive Design at Brunel, and an F.Sc in Automotive Engineering at Somerset College.

Lewis’s responsibilities include the design of new products and the refinement of existing MSL products across our solenoid actuator range – both at component and subassembly level. Based at our headquarters in Old Woking, Surrey, Lewis will also take on a valuable support role in the development of processes and practices. Having Lewis on board with his up-to-date expertise in the latest design practices and technology solutions will help us streamline the delivery of a broader range of electromechanical and system-level engineering design services. Our Increasing customer demand means we need to add to the capacity of the bespoke product design services we already provide as outsource partners.
